“Among the wildest and most impressive days ever. We were in a patch of sandy land that looked like the Sahara Desert, but with finer, whiter sand, with reflections that were almost pink in the sun. The territory, halfway between San Luis and Fortaleza, in northern Brazil, looks like a real desert. In reality, the strong winds that blow from the Pacific Ocean move the sand inland, creating gigantic wide dunes and the rain does the rest of the game, forming warm water lagoons that do not dry up thanks to the poorly draining soil.”
