“Tavolara island on the horizon. I love Sardinia deeply because it gives me that sense of exoticism despite being just a few hours by ferry from Rome. I don’t go there every summer because the world is still too big to be discovered, or because I’m so dull that I don’t understand that on this island down Corsica there is actually already everything, the secret of happiness, at the lunch table, on the beach, on a sailboat close to the coast… my grandfather used to say that the most beautiful sea in the world is in Sardinia, and grandfather has seen many seas as a naval officer during the Second World War. Well done, grandfpa, you enjoyed it.”
